| The Lady O Fund was created to ensure that donations
made to this particular project would go directly to seeing it come
to fruition. Lady O is a comedy of manners written by FSU School
of Theatre grad, David Caudle. David has written numerous plays
and screenplays which The Florida Project has produced as readings
and one act showcases.
Over the years we have raised $1000 towards seeing this play,
Lady O, produced Off Broadway. We feel, as do our member and Advisory
Board, that it is a piece worthy of a full production. Due to
the fact that it is a period piece, it will need special detail
to costume and sets. Every penny we raise is held in a special
account until we are ready to produce it.
You may make donations to any of our funds, but this one truly
exemplifies what FP is all about. David has brought the play to
use and watched our readings give it its final form and thus polish
it where it is now ready to be produced. It has had 5 FP readings
with full FP cast including the directors and been received extremely
well by all audience members.
We have held readings and the well known Tamarind Theatre in
LA as well as in Circle in the Square in NYC. This is an excellent
opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the development
of this play and The Florida Project.
