Richard G. Fallon is the Dean Emeritus of the
School of Theatre and directs the professional training programs
at FSU. His extensive career in professional radio, stage and
film includes study with Laurence Olivier and Tyrone Guthrie at
the Old Vic Theatre in London.
He founded the Asolo State Theatre, the FSU/Asolo Conservatory
of Professional Actor Training, the Department of Theatre at
FSU and the development of the School of Theatre at FSU.
He was elected to The Players and the American Theatre Association
College of Fellows, and has served as president of the University/Resident
Theatre Association, the Florida Theatre Conference, and the
American Theatre Association and has co-chaired the Board of
Trustees of the State Theatre Systems.
He is executive director of the Burt Reynolds Institute for
Theatre Training and occupies the Burt Reynolds Eminent Scholar
Chair.
