![]() About Us |
|||||
The Florida Project is an organization whose main focus is its members. It grew out of the need for a support system in New York and LA to help former students transition from an artistic and academic milieu to a professional one. Our chapters embrace all facets of the entertainment industry. What makes us unique is how we network. We enable our members to stay in touch with colleagues and meet people whom they would not have met as undergraduates or graduates. The Florida Project develops the strengths, and shares the resources, of all our members. Our group consists of students, graduates and supporters from FSU, The Asolo Conservatory and the Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre Training. Directors, writers, designers, producers, technicians, casting directors and performers all work together in producing and performing artistic ventures. We have had many success stories from our networking parties over the years: theatre companies and comedy troupes that have emerged, job openings and audition opportunities, apartment exchanges and even a couple of weddings! Although we can not guarantee you a part in a play, a job, an apartment or a spouse, we can supply you with opportunities the rest is up to you! Your support is important because you, our members, give us our strength. Join us, get involved, and help us help you. All my best, Hilde García
